Extended Care

Glendive Medical Center has an attached 71-bed Extended Care Facility for residents in need of skilled or intermediate nursing care. Our Extended Care facility serves people of all ages who need short-term or long-term care. A transitional stay is available for rehabilitation services. In addition to a competent and compassionate staff and a high quality of care, we offer a high quality of life for our residents.

Construction of eight new rooms that feature advances in technology and offer additional floor space for rehabilitation therapy were added to Extended Care during the summer of 2009. These semi-private rooms feature all new furnishings and private bathrooms. Four of the rooms also have shower facilities.

The Extended Care dining room offers table-side dining, where residents are provided entrees from steam tables similar to restaurant service.

The Activities Program is individualized for each resident based on their past preferences and interests as well as their present skill level. The daily activities offered address the intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social needs of our residents.
