Psychiatrist Joins Glendive Medical Center

Glendive, Montana, July 15, 2019 - Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Paulette Lassiter has joined the medical staff at GMC and Gabert Clinic. She will provide comprehensive Psychiatric services in Gabert Clinic as well as the through the new Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit located at Glendive Medical Center.

“I am delighted to begin practicing at Glendive Medical Center,” confides Dr. Lassiter. “I am especially looking forward to working with patients in both the existing clinic and the new inpatient unit. I am particularly impressed by the inpatient unit and how thoughtfully it was designed with both patient comfort and safety in mind. It will be exciting to see it become fully operational”.

Dr. Lassiter earned her undergraduate degree in biology through the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She then earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Lassiter has a humble approach to working with patients, and while she offers comprehensive psychiatric services, she specializes in depression, anxiety, and PTSD. She is a former Air Force Flight Surgeon and Psychiatrist/Medical Director for Mental Health at Whiteman Air Force Base. She understands the difficulties that veterans face after service and would also like to work with inmates at Dawson County Correctional Facility.

Dr. Lassiter recently moved here from Oklahoma with her rescue dog, a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix, “Odessa”. She loves to knit and is excited to meet others who enjoy the hobby as well. She is also interested in contributing to the Glendive community by joining groups and organizations that focus on improving social and family conditions in Dawson County.
