Through Your Lens: GMC Employees Share Their View of Montana Through Photography

The halls of Glendive Medical Center are now home to a new photography exhibition showcasing the creativity and talents of GMC employees.

“Through Your Lens: An Employee Photography Exhibition” features 10 photographs captured by members of the Glendive Medical Center team. The exhibit offers patients, visitors, staff and community members an opportunity to see Montana and the surrounding area through the eyes of the people who care for their community every day.

“Every member of the GMC team has a unique perspective,” said Julie Sanders, GMC Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “This exhibit gives us a chance to see the world through theirs. Our employees spend their days caring for patients and serving our community, and this collection gives us a glimpse into some of the creativity and talent they bring with them.”

The photographs feature Montana landscapes, wildlife, farms and quiet moments of natural beauty. Featured works include:
•Harvest on the High Plains — Anonymous GMC Employee
•Where the Wildflowers Grow — Katrina Nissley
•Hidden Creek — Crystal Wood
•Cedar Waxwings — Kyla Samuelson
•Vaira Farm — Todd & Janice Opp
•Makoshika Majesty — Cassie Arndt
•Oh, Give Me a Home — Julie Sanders
•Sun Breaking Through — Angela Bryhn
•Eastern Montana Skies — Anonymous GMC Employee
•Sunset at Lake Mary — Cammy Baker

The photographs are displayed in the hallway connecting the GMC hospital and clinic and are available for patients, visitors, employees and community members to enjoy.

The exhibit was created as an opportunity to celebrate the talents and individual perspectives of GMC employees while bringing something welcoming and personal to the healthcare environment.

“We invite people to take a few minutes to stop and look at the photographs,” Sanders said. “You may recognize a familiar place—or see our corner of Montana through a completely different lens.”
